I have over 10 years experience in building, launching and running websites. A lot has changed from last year especially beginning with the introduction of generative AI although some things have remained unchanged. As a website owner, your site is still just as valuable as it was before AI. Now I have taken some time to develop tools that almost every webmaster is going to need at some point. This suite of essential web tools are designed to empower webmasters and site owners in managing and optimizing their online presence. The features cater to limited and premium users, of-course premium users get a lot more value.
Alright here are the tools I have developed over the passed months. Let me know what you think in the comments below;
- WHOIS Domain Lookup: Use this tool to gain valuable insights into domain ownership details, registration history, and expiration dates. This information is crucial for understanding the background of a domain and identifying potential opportunities or issues. Additionally, you can use sitemonki’s domain monitoring service to alert you when your domain is about to expire so that you don’t lose it to domain squatters. Sign up here.
- SSL Chain Certificate Checker: It’s now a must for every website to run on https, which requires an SSL certificate. You can use our SSL checker tool to ensure the security and integrity of your website’s SSL certificate chain. This tool is specifically great for checking an SSL certificate chain which shows a series of SSL certificates that are used to establish the authenticity and trustworthiness of a website’s SSL certificate. With the SSL Checker, you can detect any potential vulnerabilities or misconfigurations that may compromise the trustworthiness of your SSL setup and consequently your website. If you run a mission critical website that requires a high level of security such as fintech, banking or email server, then this tool is an absolute must use.
- DNS Lookup (A, CNAME, MX, NS, TXT): DNS or Domain Name System runs the internet. Every website’s story starts with a DNS Lookup. If you have misconfigured DNS records, then expect to encounter headache. With this tool, you can perform comprehensive DNS lookups to retrieve various types of DNS records, including A, CNAME, MX, NS, and TXT records. This tool is invaluable for troubleshooting DNS-related issues and verifying the accuracy of your DNS configurations. I use it all the time especially when I am setting up a new website.
- Domain Availability Checker: Every website must have a domain name. Acquiring a domain name starts with checking it’s availability in the domain registry. With this tool, you can search for the availability of domain names across multiple top-level domains (TLDs). You can then determine if your desired domain name is up for grabs or already registered. Whenever I get a new idea for a website, I usually start with a domain availability check. This is another must use.
- What’s My IP Address: Every domain name is mapped to an IP address. Every IP address is assigned to an organization, usually big internet companies, web hosting companies and internet service providers. With this IP address lookup tool, you can easily identify your public IP address and network details. This information is essential for networking diagnostics, security assessments, and configuring access controls or firewalls. However, I use this to check whether my VPN is working or not.
- IP Address WHOIS Lookup: Related to What’s My IP Address tool, you can use this tool to obtain detailed information about an IP address, including its geographical location, network provider details. This tool is indispensable for investigating suspicious IP addresses and monitoring network activity. You can use this tool to check if your website is hosted on a server with a good IP Address reputation.
- Email Verifier: Almost everyone has an email address today. With this tool, you can validate the authenticity and deliver-ability of email addresses in real-time. This tool checks for email format, domain validity, and mailbox existence, helping you maintain a clean and responsive email list.
- Web Hosting Checker: With this tool, you can check where or who is hosting a website. This tool is helpful if you wish to know who’s hosting a competitor’s website for instance.
